The insurance institution needed to implement a CRM system to manage all of the company’s commercial information. It was crucial for the company’s functionality and operations to efficiently oversee the complete sales cycle, which involved hundreds of insurance producers operating nationwide. This CRM had to handle the data of thousands of the company’s clients and seamlessly integrate with the existing ERP system to provide a 360-degree view of all products and interactions with each client.
The company required an efficient means of coordinating its entire sales force, which is dispersed across the country.
To achieve this goal, SugarCRM was implemented on-premises. This involved customizing certain modules and creating new ones, including a module for producers to access information about all the products currently activated for each client.
Integration with the company’s existing ERP was achieved through two methods:
- SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages to synchronize information daily
- Real-time data synchronization through web services as needed.
The implementation allowed for the maintenance of a comprehensive view of each client, encompassing their entire history, and made this information readily available to the insurance producers responsible for marketing the services. Additionally, it enhanced the control and monitoring of all commercial activities, leading to standardized and improved service for potential and existing clients.
The client has better control over tasks executed by their entire sales force. Salespeople have centralized and secure access to the information essential for their commercial duties, while managers and regional heads have achieved enhanced monitoring and control over work conducted within their territories.
Furthermore, insurance producers now have web access to information that was previously confined to the company’s ERP system, which lacked web capabilities. As a result, obtaining this data from any geographic location has become much more convenient and practical.
